I'm interested in:
Ways to subvert our expectations of theater and storytelling.
Language justice. Physical/devised theater.
Investing in storytelling like we are kids again. Expansive imaginations, shadow puppets, building forts, funny voices.
Being as silly as possible.
I enjoy:
Pushing comedy to the very limits of good taste.
Exploring the architecture and character of the spaces we take up.
Encouraging us to indulge in and experience the uncomfortable, confrontation, love, joy, sexuality, pain.
I prioritize:
QTBIPOC. Period. Our people, our narratives, our safety, our art.
Fostering a brave space where we can f*ck up, and be met with empathy and love.
Connecting as collaborators and co-conspirators first, as we embark on an adventure together.
Constant learning and growing.
